 Asia  Classification Society (ACS) is the national classification society in Iran, recognised by Iranian Maritime Administration  (PMO), with more than 28 years of experience in surveying and classing ships and offshore structures.  

As a not-for-profit ship classification society, ACS is dedicated to ensuring the safety of life and property at sea, and the prevention of pollution of the marine environment.

Setting safety standards for the marine industry has been the core commitment of ACS. This is achieved through the establishment and application of technical standards, known as Rules, for the design, construction and operational maintenance of ships and other marine structures. Classification is a process that certifies adherence to these Rules. 

Asia Classification Society is a knowledge-based organization, whose prime assets are the creativity, knowledge and expertise of its employees.

With its head office in Tehran, ACS has eight offices in majore Iranian ports in Caspian Sea, Persian Gulf, and Oman Sea coasts; serving by more than 80 full-time staff having high technical expertise and academic maritime education.
